In addition, our team has the opportunity to work on impressive and iconic projects across the country.DESCRIPTIONMichael Baker International is seeking a Civil Associate to join our Transportation team in Northern California!As a part of our Civil Engineering team, the Transportation Civil Associate will assist Project Engineers and Managers with tasks appropriate for an entry-level engineer, including assisting in the development of technical plans, reports, and engineering design documents. The position will facilitate the development your technical abilities and allow you to gain experience in a broad range of engineering tasks. • Development of engineering plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and Inroads
• Prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates for civil engineering, roadway, and/or structural bridge projects
• Assist Project Engineers within large multi-disciplinary design team
• Perform periodic on-site field visits/observations
• Develop fundamental skills for project production and developing client relationships
• You will work with Project Engineers and Managers who will guide you in the development of deliverablesPROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Youll need a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with coursework relevant to working in the transportation engineering field and 0 - 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Youll need to demonstrate an eagerness to learn and apply your engineering skills to develop creative problem-solving designs.
  • EIT Preferred or ability to obtain within 1 yearCOMPENSATIONThe salary range for this position is $63,000-$91,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.BENEFITS
