Job Description:

Fortiss, LLC. is looking to hire an Employee Relations Specialist. An Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for managing the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs for assigned clients of Fortiss LLC; with an emphasis on team member relations and investigations.

Essential Duties:
The competencies listed below are an overview of the essential duties and measures required to be successful in the position.

--- Serve as business partner to client Casinos by providing general HR consulting services to Casino
management and by administering programs and functions which incorporate the use of human resources
best practices in accordance with federal and state law, local ordinances and regulations, and Fortiss and
Casino policy.
--- Investigate any assigned team member relations issues or concerns, and communicate with involved team members as necessary. -
--- Act as the HR Department liaison for team member relations matters.
--- Create appropriate and detailed investigation documentation per departmental standards.
--- Consult with the Director of HR and Legal Counsel as required. -
--- Provide team member relations support for performance management programs and disciplinary actions including investigations and separations.
--- Administer various compliance programs including workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, leaves or absence, and ADA.
--- Recruit, hire, and onboard team members in collaboration with Casino management as necessary.
--- Maintain and support the accuracy of all required HR/payroll records including team member transactions, on-boarding forms, EEOC, etc.
--- Conduct or assist with various team member and management training programs as assigned by the Director of HR or Organizational Development Manager.
--- Specific tasks may include but are not limited to: leading the team member relations function, conducting team member investigations; initiating team member communications and writing newsletters; assisting with the management of team member recognition programs or other HR initiatives; posting and distributing required notifications; investigating accidents and preparing reports for insurance carrier; representing Fortiss or clients at personnel-related hearings and investigations; administering team member surveys; and coordinating background checks, credit checks, reference checks and drug tests. ------------------

Education:
Four year degree in Human Resources or a related discipline or equivalent. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred. -

Experience:
Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in human resources with a minimum of two years experience as an HR Generalist in an organization of similar size and complexity. Minimum of two years of team member relations experience, including conducting investigations and responding to team member concerns. -

Qualifications:
--- Solid knowledge of Human Resources and payroll principles, practices and procedures
--- Work experience in employee relations and experience running the employee investigations cycle.
--- Able to work with complex systems and to implement sound policies and procedures
--- Reputation for handling situations and confidential information discretely, projecting a positive, professional
and supportive outward image and exercising good judgment for the position
--- Strong writing skills and investigative skills
--- Ability and desire to train others and serve as a change agent
--- Solid knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations
--- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a track record of interacting and communicating well with all
management and employee levels
--- Strong computing skills demonstrating proficiency with human resources information systems, payroll and
Microsoft Office software
--- Ability to review information in a factual and neutral manner, analyze data and prepare reports and
documents in a timely manner
--- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
--- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
--- Passion for our owner's vision and desire to work in a Casino environment

This is an ONSITE position in Rancho Cordova. -
