We are looking for a proactive individual who can help us continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platforms, gather requirements and feedback, and manage the product road map. Our Salesforce user experience is of great importance to us; therefore, the Salesforce Administrator should enjoy all aspects of user management, including support tickets, training, and designing solutions with user satisfaction a priority. This is a rare opportunity to join Schnitzer's fun, casual, agile, and passionate IT team. Essential Functions & Qualifications: * All aspects of user and license management, including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules * Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports * Sandbox environment management * Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience * Create a platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders * Own the communication of any platform changes to end-users and stakeholders * Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed * Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer * Technical documentation * Familiarity with Data Loader * Perform production deployments, including creating backups of changed files for rollback; perform a rollback if required; set field-level security and setup page layouts in production * Assist developers with QA activities, including testing and user support * Monitor storage and performance/health of the system * Communicate with users and managers to facilitate system changes within the rules of our Change Control policies * Analyze incoming tickets and user requests; probe and clarify requests with end-users, and communicate with developers What You Get: * Competitive pay and bonuses, as well as growth opportunities * Medical, dental, and vision plans; flexible spending account; employee assistance programs; and life and disability insurance * 401(k) plan with employer match * Generous paid time off accrual * Paid holidays Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions: * Be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently during the day, bend at waist, twist upper body, stand, walk, and negotiate uneven surfaces. * Able to sit for up to 8 hours/day; type or keyboard for several hours per day; be mobile within a confined, crowded area; communicate by speech and hearing in person and by phone in a professional manner. * Visual acuity to perform close detail work with a computer and with troubleshooting and repair of computers and other peripheral equipment. Job Conditions: Remote work. On-call and occasional overtime required. High-pressure at times when dealing with deadlines and volume of work.
