Job Description:

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assisting in the implementation of the marketing and communication functions in accordance with Five Star Banks marketing plans. This position is also responsible for assisting in coordination of community outreach efforts and provides administrative support to the Chief Marketing Officer. Because the breadth of duties is diverse, organization and time management are vital. The sensitive nature of the information involved requires a high degree of tact as well as discretion. This position also requires exceptional attention to detail and excellent writing skills.

Essential Job Function

  • Supports Five Star Bank branding and community relations through professional communication and outreach both in person and online, to customers and other stakeholders
  • Under the direction of the CMO, writes and designs various content pieces, include blog posts, social media posts and niche market marketing collateral
  • Collaborates on social media strategies to grow platforms with most content created via Canva
  • Responsible for posting to Five Star Banks platforms, including: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Knowledge of Hubspot, Sprout Social and/or Hootsuite platforms preferred
  • Responsible for creating month-end, company-wide Marcom Recaps
  • Responsible for fulfillment of company-wide event sponsorships which require working with Five Star Banks Business Development Officers on events ranging from golf tournaments to lunches, galas and branded events. This includes exceptional attention to detail with invoice payment and tracking, events RSVP tracking, logo and advertisement placement, etc.
  • Event attendance after hours is required.
  • Responsible for sporting events management including coordination and distribution of tickets
  • Acts as representative of Five Star Bank to internal and external stakeholders and operates with the highest level of professionalism and integrity
  • Provides administrative support to the Chief Marketing Officer, including event scheduling/calendaring, conference management, expense and budget tracking
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and strong writing skills
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations
  • Minimum three years related work experience
  • Proficient with computers including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign a plus
  • Social media channel management proficiency (HTML a plus)
  • Experience with Photoshop or Lightroom
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially writing skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and ability to manage priorities and workflow
