The Claims Processing Coordinator assists supervisors in mentoring/coaching the claim operations staff, and ensuring department objectives and goals are achieved and maintained. How you will make an impact: Screen documents for personnel in a training status in the processing units. Assist claim examiners/clerical with processing questions and difficult claim situations. Assist in mentoring, coaching and training of claim examiners/clerical on desk level procedures. Provide immediate feedback to supervisors and managers of individual claim examiner/clerical performance with recommendations for development in quality and performance review. Root cause analysis of claims identified through the quality review process to contain errors. Lead auditor meetings to assist in external claims audits. Screen documents containing high dollar payments prior to check write. Assist supervisor in maintaining departmental performance/quality control standards (includes distribution of workload) within set departmental standards and under the direction of the supervisor. Assist with processing claims as needed. Lead recognition and rewards initiatives for team. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. What we look for: A high school diploma or GED, but candidates with proven experience will not be excluded from consideration. An Associate degree or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Ability to maintain consistent, regular attendance. Ability to work expanded business hours including early morning, late evening and weekends. Ability to report to perform tasks in a physical work office environment as well as work from home. Strong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Detail oriented, flexible and creative. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to evaluate and respond to the contact needs. Ability to independently prioritize work, establish, understand and follow work rules and procedures, and take action to improve existing processes. Ability to confront difficult situations and make appropriate and timely decisions. Ability to follow-up on commitments on a timely basis, adhere to deadlines, and be a strong team player. Basic PC skills; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, fax machine, etc.).
