specialized repair and maintenance services to laboratory equipment
and biomedical equipment.Essential Key Job ResponsibilitiesIn
addition to duties of Field Service Specialist I, performs repair
and maintenance on intermediate imaging equipment, such as Digital
Radiography units, basic CT, CT Sim, basic oncology and
Vascular/Specials systems more than 60% of the time.Utilizes
training opportunities to significantly reduce contract dependency
for the same equipment.Employee functions as a leader in the
Clinical Engineering department, providing oversight and assistance
to FSS, for the efficient and cost effective repair and maintenance
of imaging equipment.Effectively handles all service emergencies
and necessary communications with Vendor, Department, and Clinical
Engineering CE Manager.Assists in the ordering of parts and
supplies necessary for the servicing of Diagnostic Imaging and
Biomedical equipment.Is capable of providing coverage and support
for CE Manager during manager's absence.Provides input to the CE
Manager regarding new service opportunities within a location
serviced by the Clinical Engineering Division.Provides appropriate
service cost history to the CE Manager with an emphasis on Contract
Vs. Time and Material contrast for the continual reduction of
service expense.May also provide repair and maintenance of general
biomedical equipment as secondary responsibility or as

Commission, NFPA, and other regulatory agencies/standards.The job

Sacramento.Required Education and ExperienceEDUCATION:Associates
degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical
Engineering or related field, equivalent military education,
graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated
through training certificates, or equivalent experience.A minimum
of five years' experience servicing medical imaging equipment such
as General X-Ray (Rad, including but not limited to Rad Rooms,
Portables and C-Arms) Must have the ability to repair and maintain
a wide variety of imaging equipment.Required Licensure and
CertificationsValid Driver's License is Required, CRES
preferredRequired Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and
TrainingLanguage Ability: Intermediate: Ability to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization.Math Ability:
Basic: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units
of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability: Basic: Ability to apply
common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved
written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems
involving a few concrete variables in the standardized
situations.Computer Skills: must be familiar with MS Office Suite
and internet based applications.Reliable transportation
required.
