One of our clients is seeking a Payroll Clerk to support the Payroll department and become an integral part of the team. This vacancy is based in the Rancho Cordova, California area and is a permanent opportunity. Success in this position includes accurately entering data and reconciling timecards, as well as efficiently distributing paychecks and statements to various individuals and departments. You will be in contact with other team members and outside customer, making strong communication skills essential.Major responsibilities- Train and instruct employees in the proper use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.- Assist in office efficiency by carrying out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.- Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals- Generate and run custom reports- Ensure reports are distributed as instructed- Update data into spreadsheets and the payroll system- Fulfill other duties as assigned
