Job Description:
Sodexo, a global leader in integrated services, is seeking a
dynamic Sous Chef to enrich our culinary team within the
hospitality sector. Positioned second-in-command in our fast-paced
kitchen, this role demands innovation and passion to provide
exceptional culinary experiences, champion kitchen management, and
uphold food safety standards. The Sous Chef will collaborate
closely with the Executive Chef to craft memorable meals, manage
kitchen staff, design menu offerings, and maintain budgetary
commitments. This pivotal role drives our promise to enhance the
quality of life for all we serve. Assist the Executive Chef in menu
development and execution, including ingredient selection and
creative recipe design. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring
a collaborative and efficient environment. Maintain oversight of
food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations to meet health and
safety standards. Conduct inventory and order food supplies while
adhering to set budgets. Lead the kitchen team in the chef's
absence, ensuring uninterrupted operations. Engage in continuous
learning and culinary innovation to improve dining offerings.
Advanced culinary skills, including knowledge of various cuisines
and dietary needs. Strong leadership and personnel management
abilities. Budget management and cost control acumen. Ability to
sustain high energy levels and handle stressful situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Sous Chef (CSC)
accreditation by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) is
preferred.
