care. /nPosition Summary /nThe Med/Surg RN provides comprehensive
nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions
and post-surgical needs. The nurse collaborates with physicians and
interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centered care
while maintaining clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
/nKey Responsibilities/n /n/t - Provide direct patient care for
adult and geriatric patients in a Medical-Surgical unit/n/t -
Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor
patient progress/n/t - Administer medications and treatments in
accordance with physician orders and nursing protocols/n/t -
Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to
treatment/n/t - Educate patients and families on treatment plans,
medications, and discharge instructions/n/t - Collaborate with
physicians, therapists, and healthcare team members to ensure
coordinated care/n/t - Maintain accurate patient documentation in
electronic medical records/n/t - Respond quickly and effectively to
changes in patient conditions/n/t - Ensure compliance with hospital
policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory guidelines/n/t -
Support a positive and collaborative team environment within the
nursing unit/n /nEducation and Certification Requirements/n/n /n/t
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact
eligibility if applicable/n/t - Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required/n/t - Current
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required/n/t - Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred/n/t -
Minimum of two years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
preferred/n/t - Previous travel nursing experience is a plus but
not required/n /nRequired Skills and Qualifications/n/n /n/t -
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills/n/t -
Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care
effectively/n/t - Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills/n/t - Experience with electronic health records and medical
