Position Overview:The Registered Nurse IBCLC manages the patient/family breastfeeding experience through patient consultations and staff education utilizing critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment/knowledge/skills.Qualifications:Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing -Experience:Must have experience in the last 3-5 years in an acute care or outpatient maternal child setting as an RNRN IBCLC experience is preferred. -Licensures and Certifications:Valid CA RN license is required.International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Certification (IBCLC) is required.Basic Life Support (BLS) - for the healthcare provider is required.Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) is required within 180 days. -Skills and Knowledge:Must have knowledge of adult learning principles, multidisciplinary collaboration, lactation equipment and related aides.Demonstrated verbal, written communication skills and basic computer skills.Multilingual preferred.Independently practices and prioritize multiple demands in a ever-changing environment. - -Organization:Sutter Medical Center, SacramentoEmployee Status: RegularBenefits: YesPosition Status: Non-ExemptUnion: NoJob Shift: EveningShift Hours:8 Hour ShiftDays of the Week Scheduled:Varied DaysWeekend Requirements: Every Other WeekendSchedule: Part TimeHrs Per 2wk Pay Period:56Applications Accepted:All Applications AcceptedSchedule/Shift: Part Time/ Evening
