in determining compensation.We expect the salary for this position
to range between $100,400 - $136,800.What is the Manager, Payroll -
Americas responsible for?The Manager, Payroll - Americas will
demonstrate a proven track record of leading a payroll function in
the Americas for a large publicly traded multi-national
corporation. This high impact position requires a strong ability to
foster outstanding relationships with senior partners across
Franklin Templeton at corporate and country level, including
Business, Human Resources, Tax, Legal, Information Technology,
Audit, Compliance, Treasury, and Chief Accounting Officer
organizations. To be successful in this role, the candidate will
have a vision for re-engineering the payroll function in the
Americas to become more automated and scalable and delivering on
operational goals. The Manager, Payroll - Americas will be
responsible for overall payroll governance and controls for the US,
Canada and Latin America, supporting new pay programs, managing
vendor and audit relationship, and ensuring an overall success of
the Americas payroll team through training and development. Core
responsibilities include managing all aspects of the daily payroll
operations and ensuring that payroll transactions are delivered
timely and accurately and in accordance with regulations, policies
and procedures.What are the ongoing responsibilities of the
Manager, Payroll - Americas?
- Define the overall strategy and vision for our payroll function
in the Americas to enhance automation and scalability while
ensuring accurate, timely, secured, and compliant payroll
processing
- Enhance and maintain strong business relationships with senior
partners throughout the organization and external parties regarding
existing and new pay programs
- Provide subject matter expertise to support system integration
and configuration requirements
- Lead acquisition related payroll implementation activities
- Stay current on payroll related rules and regulations in all
jurisdictions in the Americas and proactively advise business
partners on potential implications for the organization as a whole
and local jurisdictions
- Own Americas payroll governance, internal controls and process
documentation while striving for increased efficiency and
effectiveness in the Americas
- Drive coaching, mentoring, and development of payroll team
members to optimize operational effectiveness and develop the next
generation of potential leadersWhat ideal qualifications, skills &
experience would help someone to be successful?
- 8+ years of multi-disciplinary, multi-country experience with a
large public company including payroll, payroll tax and filings,
stock, MFU and cash-based compensatory arrangements, private equity
transactions, global mobility, travel, and termination
benefits
- Expert knowledge of all aspects of the US payroll, good
understanding of payroll in Canada and Latin America
- Experience implementing payroll in new countries and for
acquired companies, and collaborating in a cross-functional
environment
- Leadership experience in system implementation, with a proven
record of developing vision, establishing goals, and delivering
results. Recent experience with digital finance technologies and
robotic automation process is a plus
- Proficiency in Workday Payroll and a deep knowledge of ADP.
Implementation of payroll systems is a plus
- CPP designation strongly desired
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
