Job Description - Director, National Specialty Claims (173050) Location:-- Although the preferred location for this position is Tampa, other locations may also be considered. Must have qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with a minimum of 7 years--high risk casualty or property insurance experience or related professional experience such as analytical or legal work in a professional setting of which 5 years is in a leadership or management position
• Ability to obtain and maintain state-specific license(s) as required
• This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• This position requires compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policies Preferred skills
  • Prior experience in high complexity coverage types and claim scenarios (e.g. Runoff and PLG, Umbrella, Commercial)
  • In-depth understanding of Special Lines coverage; Federal Maritime Law and special lines claims liability
  • Experience in litigation and litigation management with enterprise-wide implications, advising legal counsel and collaborating on specific strategies (e.g. Glass litigation and appeals, assignment of benefit (AOB) claims)
  • Understanding of bad faith claims and the risk to the customer and the brand
