Shift Time: Monday-Friday 6am-4:30pm (10-hour working days) Pay
Rates: Level I: $26-$31.50 Duration : 6-month C2H Insight Global
City Client a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to support the
maintenance, repair, and operation of City-owned buildings,
facilities, and equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on
technician with experience across multiple trades who is looking
for stable, meaningful work in the public sector. What You’ll Do As
a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will perform skilled work
across a variety of building maintenance trades, including:
Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, and
general construction Installation, inspection, troubleshooting,
maintenance, and repair of City facilities and systems Electrical
systems including generators, photovoltaic systems, lighting,
panels, motors, and controls HVAC systems including compressors,
motors, drives, controls, and heat exchangers Plumbing systems
including fixtures, piping, pumps, boilers, and heaters Carpentry
work including drywall, doors, cabinetry, shelving, and finish work
Lock installation, re-keying, and repair Welding and basic metal
fabrication as assigned Painting and surface preparation (interior
and exterior) Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and
specifications Estimating materials and maintaining tools,
equipment, and inventory Driving a City vehicle to job sites as
needed Maintaining work records and communicating with City staff
and vendors Required Qualifications: High school diploma or
equivalent Completion of an apprenticeship program and/or At least
2 years of experience in building maintenance and/or construction
trades Valid California Class C driver’s license Preferred Skills &
Experience: Multi-trade facilities maintenance experience Knowledge
of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry systems Ability to
read blueprints and technical drawings Familiarity with building
codes and safety regulations Welding experience Ability to work
independently and as part of a team Physical & Work Environment
Indoor and outdoor work environments Exposure to dust, fumes, dirt,
grease, and varying weather conditions Frequent standing, walking,
lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working at heights
Additional Notes Technician I (Entry-Level): Performs assigned
duties under general supervision while developing skills across the
trades Technician II: Performs the full range of duties with
greater independence and technical proficiency Employees may
advance from Technician I to Technician II after two (2) years of
satisfactory continuous service at the Technician I level. Why
