The responsibilities of this position includes matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Rancho Cordova, California, area.What you get to do every single day- Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects- Post financial information to journals and ledgers- Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance- Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; generate correction documents as required- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources- Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes- Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis
